e-books are often brought about as antagonists of paper books, an unfortunate case that diverts the attention from the positive features of digital books. In many cases the functionalities, use cases and applications of e-books are misreported. Diffusion of e-books is promoted by several European organizations, to reduce communication barriers that paper cannot overcome.
